Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board Why you'll love this job This position is responsible for analysis of financial position of American Airlines by maintaining and enhancing current forecasting models. Responsibilities include oversight of the following: Financial Forecasting, Budgeting, and Strategic Planning. Additional duties include monthly financial review of business lines preparting in-depth cause and effect analyses on a variety of complex financial issues, analytical modeling, and internal consulting. This job is a member of the Financial Planning Team within the Finance Division What you'll do As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations. Leads financial planning, analysis, modeling, and forecasting activities for American Airlines' operating budget team Prepares information for Board presentations, quarterly Earnings calls, and numerous other reviews of financial results, trends, and evaluations resulting in extensive interaction with management across all levels and departments Establish corporate and Division financial goals and work with divisions to build budgets and forecasts meeting these targets Track cross departmental initiatives Provides insightful and actionable financial analysis and reporting, including key trends, metrics, and business drivers to inform business performance and decision making in support of achieving business strategic objectives Manage analytical and leadership development of team of analysts All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience "‹MBA with relevant experience in finance and/or accounting, or equivalent experience/training At least 6 years of work experience, including managerial experience Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience "‹5 -10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or Quantitative Analysis Airline/travel industry preferred Skills, Licenses & Certifications Adaptability and flexibility in the use of analytical approaches pertaining to financial issues Ability to negotiate and communicate proficiently with all levels of management Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations Advanced aptitude in problem solving, including the ability to logically structure an appropriate analytical framework Strong PC skills, especially with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, etc.) What you'll get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
