Responsible for administrative services of Blank Health Providers and operational performance of all Blank Women’s & Children’s clinic locations, which encompasses 140+ employed providers and 17+ outpatient pediatric clinics. In coordination with Blank Medical Director, Assistant VP and COO, responsible for the strategic growth of Pediatric Medical Services provided by Blank Hospital. Accountable for the operational performance, including clinical quality, of all pediatric ambulatory services. Additionally, oversees the recruitment, retention and contract negotiation and management for all employed providers as well as their annual production and quality incentives. Serve as a mentor and resource for Clinic Administrators to ensure execution of operational tactics to meet the goals of the institution. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations affecting medical office practices.· Acts as a liaison between physicians/providers and the Blank Management team to achieve effective communication and optimal operational processes· Ensures adequate staffing management to support the needs of the department · Directs quality and customer service initiatives by striving to exceed customer expectations · Assists management, auditors and trainers with planning and development of organizational and supervisory skills to provide optimum patient care in accordance with the vision, goals, and objectives of the organizationBasic UPH Performance Criteria · Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.· Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.· Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.· Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.· Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.· Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.Minimum RequirementsPreferred or SpecializedEducation:Master’s Degree MHA, MBA or MSNExperience:Seven (7) years’ experience in health care operationsLeadership development, personnel management, facility management, financial management, budgeting, computers. Accounts receivable, billing, collections, ICD-10 and CPT codingLicense(s)/Certification(s):FACHE or CMPEKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English.Multicultural sensitivity.Microsoft Office - basic computer skills.Customer/patient focused. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. Must be able to multitask and stay on track with completing job functions in a very busy work environment with multiple distractions.Ability to adapt to frequent changes in insurance plans, hospital and departmental procedures, job functions and new technology.Other:Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position. Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities. May drive a UPH vehicle, rental, or own vehicle.
