Avance Care is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. We're looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring accuracy in payroll processing and benefits administration while contributing to the overall success of our organization.As our Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for payroll processing, benefits administration, and related HR functions. This role requires a keen eye for detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they arise.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess biweekly payroll accurately and timely for all employeesHandle benefits administration, including supporting open enrollment, employee inquiries, and COBRA administrationComplete and file all quarterly and annual payroll taxesProcess government filings including ACA reportingPerform internal audits to ensure accuracy of HRIS system, benefits, and payroll administrationStay current with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsCollaborate with team members on projects and initiativesQualificationsAssociate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administrationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelExperience with HRIS and payroll systemsKnowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other relevant regulationsSkills and AttributesDetail-oriented with a commitment to accuracyCritical thinker with the ability to anticipate and proactively address potential issuesTeam player who contributes to the overall success of the HR departmentComfortable working with complex spreadsheets and government filingsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalWork EnvironmentThis position requires working on-site at our office two days per weekThe role involves significant computer work, including extensive use of spreadsheets and databasesIf you're looking for the opportunity to work with a collaborative and supportive team while making an impact on our organization's payroll and benefits processes, we want to hear from you!Avance Care provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to religion, race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identification, alienage or citizenship status, national origin, age, marital status, pregnancy, disability, veteran or military status, predisposing genetic characteristics or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local law.#LI-DNI
