Tennis Shop Attendants offer friendly and expedient service to the property's guests and assist the tennis professional staff in shop operations, merchandise sales and other related activities. Beginners are welcome - while knowledge of tennis is preferred, previous experience is not required for the position.Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends, holidays, and golf season, as needed.For more information on our open opportunities, apply todayResponsibilitiesPerforms opening and closing procedures for the shop or store as determined by managementResponsible for accountability of POS transactions madeCollects applicable fees from members/guests and outside patrons as they arriveMakes court, clinic, lesson and special event reservations, in person or by phoneAssists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional mannerAssists with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderlyAssists with general cleaning of the shop or storeAssist shop supervisor with creating appealing displaysAssists with monthly physical inventoriesMay work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play timesIncorporates safe work practices in job performanceRegular and reliable attendance.Performs other duties as required/needed Education and Experience RequirementsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust have tennis experience, and be able to give lessonsAbility to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English)Ideal candidate will be an active tennis player with knowledge of the gameRetail sales experience is preferredComputer proficiency including but not limited POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media and other programs related to tennis such as or ClubAutomationWorking ConditionsFrequently stands and uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, talks or hearsRegularly walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouchesRegularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 poundsOccasionally works in outdoor weather conditionsNoise level is moderate
