This job was posted by : For more information, please see: r rClient Services Assistant r r r rAbout This Role: The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking Client Services Assistants to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. While there are many responsibilities of someone in this role, this position is primarily responsible for greeting and referring clients and patients, managing admissions, and facilitating appointments. Client Services Assistants also provide exceptional customer service through taking calls from clients, listening to customer needs, and providing helpful solutions to any concerns or issues. Excellent communication skills are utilized daily as this position acts as a liaison between clients, patients, and the hospital service providers. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location. What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and one year of relevant experience. Must possess a valid drivers license once employed. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or at least two years of post-high school experience. Two years of experience in clerical or office support work is preferred. Training in general office practice. Experience with veterinary hospital management program software, such as Instinct, will be an asset for this position. Good public relations skills including the ability to communicate professionally under stress. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Computer skills, including the knowledge of work processing computer software and medical database programs. Ability and skills to efficiently coordinate calls on a multi-line telephone system. Ability to collaborate with established procedures, protocol, and instruction from supervisor. Ability to complete data entry in a computer system accurately and in a timely fashion. Ability to apply skills of a service-oriented nature position to the public, faculty, and students in order to promote harm nious working relationships and excellent veterinary medical care for patients.
