The Orlando Outpatient Center is expanding its services!We are seeking a dedicated and caring Full-TIME Medical Assistant to join our team in Maitland, FL!Monday- Friday 8:30am-5:00pmDuties also include taking vitals, conducting UA's, breathalyzer tests and Reception coveragePay starts at $23 per hour and goes up commensurate with experiencePrevious experience with Substance Abuse or Mental/Behavioral Health patients preferred!The Orlando Outpatient Center/Advanced Recovery Systems ishealthcareated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. Our goal is to help men, women and adolescents live healthy, happy lives without the burden of substance abuse or mental illness.USD $23.00/Hr.The Medical Assistant is responsible for managing the telephone systems, retrieving messages from voicemail, taking messages for staff, greeting patients and vendors, helping with verification of benefits, payment collection and posting, completing vitals and any other task which is assigned.Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following:CORE JOB DUTIES: Greets visitors and patients in a professional manner.Maintains the visitor and employee sign-in / sign-out logs. Ensures all visitors are given a “Visitor” badge and ensures visitors return “Visitor” badge.Screens visitors with COVID-19 questions and temperature log.Performs breathalyzer on patients as deemed necessary.Performs Rapid COVID-19 tests on patients as deemed necessary.Manages the scheduling, obtaining and reading of urine drug screens and urine pregnancy tests as ordered.Schedules follow-up Physician and Nurse Practitioner visits.Confirms appointments.Arranges for MAT injections, ordering, arranging for delivery and administering.Maintains and orders office supplies for every department.Maintains a professional atmosphere both on the telephone and in the waiting area.Knows the whereabouts of staff on a continuous basis.Maintains a filing system for various company functions.Assists with projects from other departments as necessary.OTHER REQUIRED TASKS:Attends staff meetings when necessary.Maintains confidentiality pertaining to clients and families.Adheres to all company policies and procedures.Contacts health plans to verify patient benefits, copays and deductibles.Relays to patient payment responsibility.Collects and posts patient payments.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIREDHigher Education in a business-related field preferredMinimum one (1) year experience in a professional medical settingBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:Medical Assistant (MA) REQUIREDCPR and Standard First Aid certificationAdvanced Recovery Systems, a national integrated behavior healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues.We invite you to learn more about us at ourwebsite!The Company complies with state and federal nondiscrimination laws and policies that prohibit discrimination based on age, color, disability, national origin, race, religion, or sex.
