For more information, visit our website, or connect with us onLinkedInorX.Essential ResponsibilitiesEnsure company and customer quality requirements are communicated pursuant to customer satisfaction, company profitability and continuous improvement.Oversee the review of manufacturing and testing of new product to achieve quality requirements.Maintain the department budget.Provide guidance in the implementation of testing procedures to assure quality requirements are met.Track root cause of quality issues, coordinate corrective action and implement appropriate adjustments. This will involve implementing a corrective/preventative action system.Facilitate internal and external measureable systems, such as KOM’s and present to management groups.Interface with customers, vendors and 3rd party assessors.Direct employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.Facilitate a comprehensive environmental program to assure continual product safety.Ensure proper usage and calibration of measuring devices i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.Write and implement quality systems per ISO-9001 procedures, audits and programs.Design and implement process capability studies, as required to quality products.Responsible for sanitation, good manufacturing practice and food safety programs and inspections.Interface with applicable regulatory agencies.Miscellaneous related duties as assigned.Serves as back up to the SQF Practitioner.In the absence of the QA Manager job duties will be covered by the QA Supervisor.QualificationsB.A./B.S. from a four year College or University or two to five years related experienceand/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.Safety ExpectationsBe a Role Model - No exceptions from safety LSB (Life Saving Behaviors) and plant rules; What you say and do impacts everyone on your shift positively and negativelyIf you feel a task that you have been asked to complete is unsafe, stop and request additional informationTake Two - THINK!!!, ASK!!!, KNOW!!!, safely EXECUTETake immediate action to address a safety hazardVisible participation in pre shift meetings reiterating safetyDaily review housekeeping with focus on your areas; don’t settleDaily conduct conversations with team members on safetyRespond to employee concerns with the respect that it deservesParticipate in EHS Framework scoring and improvement plansDo not communicate mixed messages.
