This person will assist the Dining Services Purchasing Agent with receipt and verification of deliveries, storage of such items and routine daily pulls of inventory items.Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 pm, with no shift differential.Full-time Employee Benefitsinclude:medical and dental insurances, retirement plans, paid time off, educational benefits for employees and dependents at Penn College and Penn State University, and more. RequiredLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSFood Handlers Card Must possess ServSafe and/or ServSafe Food Handlers Certification(s), or be willing and able to obtain certification. RequiredEXPERIENCEExperience with receiving of goods and inventory control, preferably in an institutional environment. PreferredABILITIES AND SKILLSAbility to read, write, and perform basic math functions. RequiredFunctional ability with computers or aptitude to learn. RequiredPossession of a valid drivers license is required. Candidates possessing a valid driver's license may be required to drive a campus vehicle on or about campus in performing the functions of the position. Those candidates possessing a valid driver's license would be subject to a motor vehicle background check. RequiredAbility to work with limited supervision and under own initiative. RequiredGood organizational skills. RequiredAttention to detail. RequiredMay travel to other Dining Service storage facilities (Reach Road, Earth Science Center, etc.). RequiredMay be required to use personal vehicle for travel with mileage reimbursement at the current College rate. RequiredReceive and verify deliveries against ordering documents and inspect for damages.Store received goods in orderly manner in proper location (i.e., freezer, main storeroom, kitchen, chemical storage room, janitorial room, etc.).Transfer requested supplies to other Dining Service locations (i.e., Campus Center, Keystone Dining Room, Warehouse, etc.).Maintain dock, company vehicles, and storage areas (to include overhead and central storage) in clean, sanitary, and orderly manner.Transport empty propane tanks to and from filling area, fill, and store in a safe and proper manner/location.Process and fill requisitions for supplies; restock shelves and coolers/freezers as necessary.Create food/supply orders three times a week based on the central storage par needs/levels.Review par stock levels with management team/purchasing agent and make necessary adjustments.Create pull lists from unit menus to stock area for daily production needs.Follow FARE (allergen) inventory procedures to avoid allergen/cross contamination of food products.Assist supervisor and/or purchasing agent with start-up procedures in August.Monitor computerized inventory against pulls per requisition sheets.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with special events, as needed.-Ability to work in areas with variations in temperature and noise.-Heavy lifting 65 lbs. maximum, without assistance, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.-Extensive manual work involved in the moving and storing of delivered materials; the total weight of deliveries can exceed 2500 lbs.-Pushing and/or pulling of kitchen carts that, at times, may weigh up to 200 lbs.-Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.-Must have neat and clean grooming and hygiene habits.$17.25 per hour.This is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
