Come join us, and find out what the best work of your career could look like for you.The Maintenance Mechanic will perform operations, repairs and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to equipment within the facility, while acquiring skills and knowledge to complete the training required to obtain licenses. The hours for this position are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM - must be able to work weekends, Washington, DC. Pay rate: $18-$22 depending on experience.The typical day will go something like this:Daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipmentPerform preventative and general maintenance on a scheduled basisMaintainequipment to industry standardsDiagnose and repair simple HVAC, plumbing and electrical problems as required and/or as assigned by supervisorProvide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as requiredInterface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfactionComplete daily, weekly and/or monthly reports of system status as directed by supervisorRun wiring, cabling, and ductwork, and mount equipment according to specifications as directedPlace or remove systems and equipment as directedPurchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completionPerform other duties as assignedMust be available to work all shiftsMust be available to be on call 24/7Basic coursework in electrical and HVAC systemsUniversal CFC/R-410APrior hotel experience a plusReliable transportationAble to lift sixty (60) poundsCapable ofascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feetPossess excellent customer service skillsEOE, including disability/veterans
