Purpose of the Position:The Instructor and Program Coordinator, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for the coordination of administration and support for the review and development of the EMT program within the Related Technical Instruction component of the EMT Registered Apprenticeship Program as designated to UMA, either in its own Registered Apprenticeship Program, or by nature of UMA’s contract or service agreement with another entity responsible for or involved with the Registered Apprenticeship program. In addition, the Instructor and Program Coordinator will serve as a faculty member for the program and will be responsible for all duties as defined for full-time faculty, as well as attending meetings, maintaining external requirements, performing a systematic review of program effectiveness among didactic, laboratory, and clinical components (as applicable), supporting recruitment efforts, completing other assignments as needed, and serving as a liaison with employer partners and health care facilities.The Instructor and Program Coordinator will partner closely with program leadership and the employer(s) with whom the Registered Apprenticeship program is being offered to ensure relevant program delivery and smooth transition to the on-the-job training (OJT) component of the apprenticeship program.UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence.
