USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $90,000.00/Yr.Job in a Nutshell: The Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for reducing losses and protecting company assets through the implementation of engineered inventory control and asset protection programs, projection of impression of control, and loss incident investigation and resolution.Applications are accepted by the date below, which may be updated if the hiring timeline is extended.10/08/2024Main Ingredients:Travels to stores in various markets to provide loss prevention direction, guidance, and impression of control.Provides guidance and direction to store Crews and Store Support Center departments on Safety, Security, and Loss Prevention topics.Perform in person audits, oversee the remote audit process, and communicate findings and recommendations with management and operations.Provides guidance and education to upper level and executive management on how losses occur, and how to prevent future losses from occurring.Leads LP related trainings for Store Crews, Managers, and Store Support CrewSurfaces, Investigates, and Resolves Cases of Internal and External Loss.Investigates internal theft via CCTV review, internal tips, exception reporting, and meta-data analysis.Conducts interviews as part of the investigation process.Partners with law enforcement to resolve internal theft and organized retail crime incidents.Partners with Human Resources to investigate and resolve employee incidents.Partners with Director of Safety and Security to help create, establish, and maintain loss prevention policy and procedure.Reviews company shrink, sales, and incident reports to focus shrink reduction efforts at high-risk sites.Manage Loss Prevention department email response.Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive informationSupervisory Responsibilities Including:Assists with recruiting and hiring of Safety, Security, and Loss Prevention Crew.Coordinates training programs for new Crew and identifies training needs for current Crew.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of retail operations and loss prevention strategies and proceduresOversees the Loss Prevention mailbox and delegates workload to administrative Crew.Although this is a general outline of job responsibilities all employees are expected to be “hands on” and do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive.Recipe for Success:Must have or be able to obtain a WZ certification at the time of hire. CFI preferredMinimum of 1-year previous retail loss prevention experience requiredMinimum 1-year multi-unit management and/or 1-year management in grocery environment preferredMinimum of 1 year of experience managing or leading direct reportsMust pass a background checkFamiliar with exceptions reporting concepts, and how exceptions-based reporting works on a fundamental level from a POS systemsUnderstands and maintains strict compliance with the law and NGVC policies concerning loss preventionKnowledge of progressive loss prevention methods and shrink strategiesExperience developing and implementing loss prevention programs and strategies without guidance or formal programs in place.Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skillsMust possess a friendly and professional demeanorMust be detail orientedAble to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of training, public interaction, and report writingAbility to maintain strict confidentiality in all situationsAbility to operate surveillance equipmentAble to work with minimal supervision, actively identifies and seeks out areas of opportunityAble to problem solve or troubleshoot situationsAbility to work a flexible schedule.
