We build, renovate, and upgrade, as well as service, maintain, and operate facilities for a full spectrum of clients. Job Title: VDC Project Control Job Summary: The Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Project Control position is an integral part of the VDC/BIM Department. This position is responsible for assisting the VDC/BIM department with providing routine and non-routine clerical and administrative support during the coordination process for multiple projects at one time. This position requires someone who is self-directed, has the ability to multitask, and is detail oriented. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and maintain document control for all projects within an electronic drawing management system. Work with VDC manager to standardize file, drawing numbering and nomenclature. Create and maintain drawing logs (Shop Drawings, Field Drawings, As-builts) Manage and track VDC workflow from model setup, service's setup, equipment modeling, pipe modeling, coordination, fabrication, to as built. Work with project managers to track and manage project submittal packages. Work with VDC manager to locate and update service matrices for projects Keep job submittal folder organized and current. Identifying and locating any electronic files from the manufacturer needed for building Revit Family's BIM 360 administration (maintain document management within BIM 360) Initial set up of each project on BIM 360 Set up new member for project with appropriate permissions Set up and maintain document management job template Ensure files, drawings, and documents are current. Gate Keeping Creating BIM execution plans for gatekeeping projects Download, maintain and overwrite coordination files. Post updated Navis files. Create, track and maintain issues/RFI logs. Attend coordination meetings when required. Create and maintain meeting minutes if required. P drive / N Drive Set up new jobs structure in P and N drive Work with VDC Manager to organize, standardize and maintain P drive and N drive Organize and maintain N Drive for scanning data. Scan data processing Review scan with CAD Technician Upload scan, process scan data and save processed data to the N drive Notify CAD technician when files are ready to append into the project. Georeferenced scans into larger projects. Track and log transform values for scans that are not georeferenced. Autodesk licenses management. Update software when required Maintain license logs Drawing distribution Ensure CAD is working to the latest set of drawings for the project Aid in batching and overlaying drawings to track changes Distribute electronic copies as needed. Document Review Review plans, shop drawings, and fab packages for incomplete or missing details Assist in annotation of drawings and Fab packages Qualifications: Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Previous construction industry experience is preferred. Key competencies are initiative, communication, teamwork, attention to detail and time management. Preferred Education and/or Experience: 3+ years related experience. High School diploma or GED required. Knowledge of the construction industry and contract documentation. Computer Skills: Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel). Proficiency with Adobe or Bluebeam PDF software suite. Ability to learn and become proficient in Revit and Navis Works.
