Job Title: Buyer Planner Job Description The Buyer Planner will manage business within established supplier relationships. You will schedule each purchase order as needed to support the production schedule or requisition requirement, maintaining a minimum of inventory while being responsive to manufacturing and other departments' needs. Your role includes identifying and communicating internally any supplier concerns or opportunities, supporting cost recovery initiatives, and coordinating the implementation of cost reduction projects and supplier consolidation. You will also monitor cost, schedule, technical, and drawing release status of projects and lead corrective actions as required. Additionally, you will prepare and solicit requests for quotes and proposals based on the defined commodity strategy, and coordinate and communicate new component releases and design changes with suppliers and engineering. Work Environment The role is 100% onsite initially, with an 8-hour workday starting at 6:30 am, with a daily team meeting at 7 am. The work environment is a manufacturing facility with over 200 employees, most of whom are hourly workers on the manufacturing floor and in the warehouse.
