Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.Minimum Qualifications: Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Clinical Physician 2 if they have NYS License and current registration to practice medicine; and 2 years of post-licensure medical experienceORCandidates from within State Service can be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Duties Description As a Clinical Physician 2 at South Beach Psychiatric Center, you will be a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Your duties will include: Providing clinical consultation for individuals with complex medical diagnoses. Reviewing admission referral packets for medical clearance. Providing clinical supervision to lower-level physicians and other medical providers. Consulting with other licensed physicians and healthcare providers on diagnoses and treatment plans. Communicating with local hospitals when SBPC patients are in their care. Participating in discharge planning. Additional administrative duties as assigned.
