Job Description Location: Chicago, IL Hospital: RUSH University Medical Center Department: Rush Health Credentialing/CVO Work Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0) Shift: Shift 1 Work Schedule: 8 Hr (8:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM) Summary: The Credentialing Coordinator Lead will assist the Credentialing Department's Manager in providing mentorship to the CVO credentialing team and will assist in maintaining compliance with the accrediting and regulatory agencies (i.e., NCQA, Joint Commission, URAC). Will have and maintain a working knowledge of the governing bodies and organizational guidelines, statutes and laws. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Required Job Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of credentialing experience in medical staff services or High School diploma and 7 years credentialing experience in medical staff services. • Highly attentive to detail and accuracy and possess strong organization skills. • Must be able to organize information and data to identify/explain trends, problems, and their causes to determine underlying issues. • Expresses thoughts clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing. • Values and models integrity and honesty by acting in a just, fair, and ethical manner. • Comfortability managing multiple tasks concurrently. • Inspires trust and confidence among stakeholders through reliability, authenticity, and accountability. • Displays a credible presence and professional demeanor. • Must be able to relate positively and communicate effectively with other team Responsibilities: Process credentialing and re-credentialing applications Assist Manager with training of new credentialing staff Review credentialing files for accuracy and operational planning. Conduct quality audits for CVO Credentialing and Re-credentialing files in preparation of survey audits. Report assessment of files and recommendations to credentialing coordinator and management. Audit enrollment of applicants to payer agreements when applicable Assist with preparation of committee packet for the Credentialing Committee review and meeting Review and ensures well-organized provider files that are easily reviewed by credentialing committee, outside review bodies, and others. Maintains strict level of confidentiality on all matters pertaining to provider. Other duties as assigned. Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
