Position Purpose: The Strategic Sourcing Lead role supports, leads, and executes sourcing activities with minimal supervision. The role will both support and own sourcing strategies that may include the development of request for proposals (RFP/RFI/RFQ), bid evaluations, supplier evaluation, development of negotiation strategy, negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting, market analysis, cost analysis and other ad hoc reporting. This role will support sourcing projects and assist in developing and implementing strategic programs for the procurement of products and services in the Store Operations, Corporate Functions, Merchandising Services and Technology categories. Key Responsibilities: 20% Analytical support for sourcing strategies, including total cost of ownership analysis, supplier spend analysis and commodity management 20% Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to assigned categories. Work cross functionally to improve and streamline processes. 20% Develop commodity strategies. Work with the stores and functional areas to best determine products and services to be sourced. Manage the vendor and resolve issues regarding product quality, delivery, etc. 10% Source qualified vendors who can meet purchase needs in terms of product quality, quantity and delivery date. 10% Ad hoc inquiries and cross-functional projects 20% Administrative and data quality initiatives such as inputting data into sourcing systems (e.g. Ariba) and conducting monthly/quarterly commodity reviews. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This position reports to the Sr. Manager - Procurement No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance. Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree CPSM Certification of Sourcing Experience Experience in working with large cross-functional teams Customer Service Oriented Minimum Education: The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
