Work Tasks Serve as coordinator or administrator of small business programs such as CEO Roundtables, System for Integrated Growth strategic research, Small and Emerging Business Development Program, Hudson Initiative, Veteran Initiative, Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute, Bonding Assistance Program and other LED programs and efforts in support of small business and the LED Growth Network. Collaborate with small business stakeholders and support organizations in outreach and delivery of small business assistance and in proactively maintaining an understanding of needs within the small business community. Engage in outreach through presentations, meetings and collaboration with stakeholders in the promotion of LED small business programming and connection of small businesses to resources to support their sustainability and growth. Provide support to small businesses seeking information in connecting them with LED programs and other resources or information. Assist small businesses with understanding, navigation of, and application to LED small business programming. Maintain an understanding of resources within LED and the small business ecosystem that can support Louisiana based small businesses. Coordinate with contractors and internally within LED to implement and monitor Cooperative endeavor Agreements and Professional Services contracts to facilitate delivery of LED small business programming. Facilitates the expansion, retention and diversification of Louisiana-based manufacturers, other industries and small businesses through the utilization of incentives and other business development programs and remains in close, continuing contact with these industries before, during and after project completion. Oversees proposals to companies on sites, infrastructure, buildings and incentives for recruitment and expansion projects. Serves as coordinator or administrator of a specific business incentive program such as Industrial Tax Equalization, Corporate Headquarters Tax Equalization, Industry Assistance, Transportation Equalization, Louisiana Capital Companies Tax Credit Program, Enterprise Zone, Restoration Tax Abatement, Biomedical Research and Development, and University Research and Development programs. Provides business advice and direction to prospective borrowers concerning LEDC lending assistance programs. Identifies state agency procurement needs that can be satisfied by socially and economically disadvantaged locally-owned businesses, and enables them to obtain bids and perform satisfactorily as contractors. Plans and conducts regional and community training, educational and informational programs. Reviews and processes applications for incentives; makes recommendations to the Director of the Governor's Office of Film & Television Development. Assists with the coordination of all major film and television productions in the state.
