Description We are in search of a Senior Program Manager to join our team in New York. As a part of our team, you will be in charge of orchestrating complex enterprise initiatives in the finance and technology sector, ensuring their smooth execution across the organization. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Lead and manage multiple initiatives, ensuring seamless execution from project initiation to deployment. Collaborate with stakeholders to craft prioritized and approved business cases, aligning project outcomes with strategic goals. Develop project plans, identifying resource needs and managing budgets. Delegate tasks, manage expectations effectively, and guide the team to keep deliverables on track. Establish project governance and align it with organizational standards, while also reporting on project success criteria and overseeing testing and deployment. Regularly communicate with stakeholders about milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues. Manage day-to-day activities, allocate resources, and lead project management team meetings. Lead strategic planning and execution across the organization, aligning projects with overarching objectives. Coordinate with other project managers and department leads, prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and allocate resources. Handle inquiries, escalations, and decisions as the primary point of contact. Understand how solutions align with business/firm goals and blend innovation with industry best practices. Research best practices, adapt to changing landscapes, and infuse fresh insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitate the team in working through challenges, and drive for the best outcome solutions. Establish practices, templates, and policies while forging partnerships that elevate our capabilities. Requirements Must possess strong communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Demonstrated experience in project and program management is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is required. Should have the ability to conduct thorough and insightful research. Must have experience in policy development and implementation. Financial acumen with an understanding of budget management is necessary. Leadership skills are essential, with a proven track record of leading and managing teams. Experience in performing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting is required. Knowledge of best practices in project management and their implementation. Must be capable of strategic planning and decision making. Experience in working with stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Should have the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams. Knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and their application in project management. Experience in handling project deliverables and deployments. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and other project management tools. Should have the ability to create and use templates for various project management tasks. Experience in conducting and participating in committee meetings is required. Must be capable of driving innovation in processes and practices. Experience in program management is essential. Must have the ability to manage and report on key project metrics.
