Do not miss out on this chance to kickstart your career in a dynamic and rewarding field DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, the Student will provide support to full-time Diesel Mechanics. The Student will be tasked with engaging in specific duties assigned on a daily basis. It is essential for the Student to demonstrate initiative and a strong desire to learn, as well as to assist, adhere to instructions, and contribute to the completion of assigned tasks. The Student should strive to absorb and retain a significant amount of information and knowledge relevant to the field. Additionally, the Student will be accountable for maintaining attendance, following call-off procedures, adhering to safety policies and procedures, and complying with departmental work regulations. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Work schedule will vary based on agreement between high school and COPA location High School internship is for the 2024-2025 school year (September 21, 2024 - June 30, 2025). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: You must be at least 16 years of age. You must be a junior or senior enrolled in high school during the 2024 - 2025 school year. Additional Requirements: Letter of Recommendation: You must attach a Letter of Recommendation from your school's co-op coordinator, career or guidance counselor, or similar designated school professional indicating you meet your school's requirements and are being recommended for this opportunity. Work Permit: Minors will be required to submit their Work Permit upon acceptance of this position. By participating in this program, the student and school agree to use the Commonwealth's Training Plan, Statement of Responsibilities, and Student Performance Evaluation. Forms will be provided to the student upon acceptance of this position. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
