Description: This position will be a Hybrid role - will be expected to report to the Des Moines location 3 days a week (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). This position functions as a support role for the annuity new business specialist team, preparing transfer paperwork, letters of acceptance, completing follow up calls to financial institutions, and other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned. This role is the primary owner for preparing transfer paperwork and letters of acceptance to send to other carriers. Will prepare transfer paperwork, letters of acceptance, completing follow up calls to financial institutions and agents, as well as other miscellaneous administrative duties as assigned. Daily Duties: Prepares adverse underwriting decision letters for applicants, owners and agents. Assists with various administrative tasks to support Annuity New Business Specialist team workflow. Completes follow up calls to other insurance carriers Achieves required phone and transaction performance as defined for the Annuity New Business Coordinator. Serve as a liaison between case management team, receptionist, and other departments as needed. Maintain a thorough understanding of the annuity industry including product knowledge, industry trends, compliance issues, etc. Understands key Operational process flows, controls and compliance criteria. Suggests opportunities for improvement to Supervisor. Conduct all business transactions in a manner that upholds the high ethical standards. Adheres to company policies and legal requirements regarding sales and product compliance. Serve as back up to receptionist, responsible for mailing packages via UPS and/or regular mail. Develop relationships with key administrative and office support staff to facilitate proper business flow between various business units Assists with various administrative tasks to support Life New Business Specialist team workflow. Completes follow up calls to other insurance carriers. Looking for candidates with an Insurance background and Microsoft Office experience. Life insurance product experience preferred in a service capacity (call center, or some sort of support role).
