Job Description This position will input, verify via callback and release incoming and outgoing wire requests from customers as well as financial centers. This position will rotate duties between wire input, wire call back and wire releasing on a regular schedule Communicate with customers and bank staff via phone and e-mail. -Provide accurate and satisfactory answers to inquiries and concerns as well as de-escalate situations involving dissatisfied individuals offering patient assistance and support. -Telephonically accept wire transfer requests from clients and bank personnel -Perform various security-related functions such as PIN verifications and callback confirmations to validate the authenticity of outgoing wire transfers -Analyze outgoing wire requests to determine if in compliance with policies and procedures -Determine if wire transfer is considered reasonable to effectively eliminate potential fraud situations -Determine if wire transfers violate any established OFAC regulations -Interact with departments throughout the bank by providing support for screening wire transfer requests for fraud and suspicious activity -Monitor and maintain appropriate bank balances as it relates to the wire transfer system -Comprehend Federal Regulations that govern wire transfer transactions to minimize/eliminate any potential loss to the bank -Data entry into various wire and core related systems -Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting incompatibilities and checking output in accordance to policy and procedures Under supervisor of the Wire Transfer Manager, this position supports customers and financial center staff processing all wire transfer requests. This position processes a high-volume of requests daily (average of 50 to 75 call-backs) and would be considered a position with high-risk/exposure. Education Requirements: -High School graduate or equivalent education certificate (GED) required Minimum Experience: -3 years' experience in customer service and/or call center required, preferably in a financial institution -1 year experience with wire transfers or experience analyzing and reviewing fraud trends, preferred Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: -Knowledge of and previous experience with wire transfer and ACH related regulations, preferred -Ability to accurately interpret information as well as demonstrate problem solving and analytical thinking skills -Strong communication and customer service skills -Written communication skills including grammar, spelling and composition -Verbal communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with customers as well as all levels of management -Strong attention to detail and ability to follow bank policies and procedural guidelines -Strong initiative and sense of urgency in tackling new projects and proven ability to successfully and consistently execute sound judgment -Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, required -Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills -Ability to work flexible hours and department hours of operation -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
