Facility: Chamberlain Medical Center Location: Chamberlain, SD Address: 300 S Byron Blvd, Chamberlain, SD 57325, USA Shift: Day Job Schedule: Full time Weekly Hours: 40.00 Salary Range: $17.50 - $25.50 Department Details Hours vary 7am to 5pm M-F 8 hour shifts weekends one person 7am to 3:30 one weekend out of 4. M-F on call after 5pm until 7pm rotation. Have an attached care center, 44 beds and the hospital and the clinic. They do anything and everything regular plant maintenance all yard work remodels, paint, build walls, plumbing, lighting, light bulbs, either maintenance or construction services background. Job Summary Responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks completed under supervision in a safe, professional manner. Must take extra precautions when working in patient/resident care areas and specifically keep tools out of the reach of children. Must possess basic mechanical knowledge and show competence in the use of hand tools, meters, measuring devices and gauges. A familiarity of blueprints, schematics and technical manuals helpful. Must be able to explain conditions and situations accurately while troubleshooting. Ability to work all shifts and hours as scheduled. Must comply with all corporate and facility policies and dress code. Understand written and verbal communications. Works independently with minimal supervision. Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances. Depending on facility size, additional duties may include but are not limited to: perform installation and maintenance of mechanical and stationary systems, including boiler operations, to ensure a safe and efficient environment; maintain campus grounds and perform other outside maintenance duties; perform general duties such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and bed repair and maintenance. May require on-call duties as needed or as directed by the department. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in all types of building maintenance preferred. Depending on location, a valid driver's license and a good driving record may be required. Depending on location, may be required to take CPR/BLS upon hire.
