Reference #: 4638070 THE POSITION The Department of Corrections, State Correctional Institution at Benner Township is seeking an organized, positive individual to provide clerical support. Apply today to join our team DESCRIPTION OF WORK An employee in this position performs moderately complex clerical work within standard operating procedures, or functions as a lead worker over routine clerical work. Work involves office or program support functions in reviewing and processing data, information, forms, and other documents; and includes the keyboarding of data and information into computer systems. Work may involve creating and formatting documents, organizing and verifying information, performing mathematical calculations, maintaining files and records, or assisting the public in completing governmental forms or obtaining general information about programs and services. At times may include providing general clerical support to other staff for overall office operations. Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
