Job Description Day-to-Day: An employer is seeking a Sensor System Technician to join their Sensor System Engineering team. The role involves working with various sensors (camera, radar, lidar, ultrasonic, IMU) to build experimental test setups in labs and in the field. The candidate will be responsible for collecting data, automating tasks, diagnosing system issues, and developing custom hardware for testing. This is a hands-on role that requires technical proficiency in sensor systems, attention to detail, and teamwork. This role is looking to pay an hourly pay range of $65.00 - $82.00 an hour Build and test experimental sensor setups in labs and vehicle test tracks. Take precise measurements and detailed notes during data collection. Create visual data reports (charts, graphs) to present testing results. Utilize software tools (Linux and Windows) to automate and customize test processes. Diagnose and troubleshoot sensor system issues. Develop custom fixtures and jigs for testing various sensor systems. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of experience working with sensors or relevant electronics. Proficiency in PC systems and working with both Linux and Windows operating systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience with photography equipment (tripods, props, studio lighting, etc.). Experience in testing and debugging electronics and sensor prototypes. Experience developing fixtures and mounts for sensor testing.
