This is a remote work opportunity. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Foundational Model Operations Group, aligned with business objectives and industry best practices; provide strategic leadership to the team, inspiring and motivating them to achieve operational excellence in generative AI model development and management Collaborate with senior executives and key stakeholders to align model operations with business goals, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive organizational change where necessary Oversee the development and deployment of generative AI models, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements; define and implement processes for efficient model development, testing, validation, and deployment, ensuring scalability and reliability Liaise with research and engineering teams to facilitate the seamless integration of models into production systems; establish and maintain processes for monitoring and evaluating model performance, accuracy, and compliance throughout the model lifecycle Implement robust governance mechanisms to manage version control, documentation, and model retraining to ensure optimal performance and mitigate risks; improve model operations processes, leveraging automation and tooling to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, engineers, and operations specialists, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment; define clear goals and performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide guidance and support for professional growth; promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization Qualifications: Minimum ten years of recent experience in data science, machine learning, or AI-related roles, with at least five years in a leadership capacity Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred Strong expertise in generative AI models, deep learning frameworks, and model deployment in production environments Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale model operations or data science teams In-depth knowledge of model governance, monitoring, and evaluation practices, as well as regulatory considerations Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams and senior executives; demonstrated capability to drive strategic initiatives, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future KPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
