University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Obstetrics and Gynecology Salary Range or Pay Grade $298,610 - $699,071 Annually Description The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry seeks an experienced Obstetrician Gynecologist with outstanding clinical skills and leadership aptitude as its Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. Dynamic leadership, clear communication, strong interpersonal skills, excellent clinical experience and strategic vision are the crucial characteristics required. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and collaborating with Division Directors in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Midwifery, OB/Gyn Research and Urogynecology, the Chief will be a key member of a busy clinical group of Ob/Gyns, Gynecologic Oncologists, Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, community providers, Family Practice providers, Midwives and Nurse Practitioners based at Highland Hospital and will be responsible for continuing to build and maintain excellence in clinical care. A strong background in Obstetrics or Maternal Fetal Medicine is required. Responsibilities include direct clinical care, teaching medical students and residents, as well as administrative responsibilities. The ability to apply creativity to program growth and development in service of these missions is highly desirable, as is the ability to work collaboratively. Focus areas of special interest in women's health care are encouraged and supported. Academic rank will be determined based on credentials and experience. The Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Highland Hospital serves our community with more than 25,000 patient visits at 4 different clinical sites and 3,000 deliveries a year. The Chief will direct a clinical team consisting of 8 general OB/Gyn physicians, 3 midwives, 4 nurse practitioners, and 2 physician assistants. Highland Hospital also serves as the primary clinical site for The Division of Gynecologic Oncology and is fully supported by the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine with ultrasound services at the hospital as well as 2 of the outpatient sites.
