This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Overview The Benefit Service Center (BSC) is seeking 2 friendly, customer service-oriented individuals to become members of our Call Center team. Both positions at the Call Center will determine eligibility for Vermonters by State and Federally funded programs using multiple platforms with a variety of call center technology. Our workload is typically heavy with a constant need for prompt, accurate decisions. In this role, you must be compassionate, organized, and able to function independently while balancing competing priorities. You must have a desire to learn, be resilient, and steadfast in the good you are doing. Customer service experience. Excellent communications skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. At the BSC, we support a hybrid work environment as it promotes the most flexibility and a greater work/life balance. Environmental Factors Duties are primarily performed in an office setting, but private means of transportation should be available for necessary travel to training and/or meetings. Workload is typically heavy with a constant need for prompt, accurate decisions. Incumbents must be organized and able to function independently while balancing competing priorities. Clientele can present with a variety of challenges resulting in a need to calmly and professionally manage situations in which applicants may be in a heightened emotional state, angry, frustrated, unable to communicate, and/or discouraged.
