In this role, you will assist the Security Manager. This position operates under direct supervision and mentorship of the Security Manager. This role pays an hourly rate of $13 to $16.Benefits for FT roles: Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 12 holidays).This position will remain open until December 31, 2024Immediate point of contact when clients arrive BOHPrepare dock, ramps, BOH spaces being used prior to move-ins, manage traffic in those areasKeep track of/check-out of UVCC equipment like carts, brooms, vacuumsUnderstanding of client/vendor/exhibitor locations to be able to provide directionsFast communication with other teams that aren’t immediately present if client/vendors have needs (AV, set changes, technical issues, equipment requests). Can provide/start paperwork.Manage vehicle & truck traffic in lot, ramps, roundabouts, give directions. Keep traffic moving (load/unload procedures w/ vehicles), prevent guests from being towed/ticketedManually attend parking, barricade/reserve parking when neededManage checkouts for access key cards for access to elevators, event rooms, entrances/exitsOperate service elevators to facilitate move-ins. Can lock out elevators when neededSecure UVCC prior to arrivals- clear POIs and keep clear during times building is mostly empty.High visibility during any scheduled times. Keep POIs off premisesDe-escalation & intervention training- high frequency of mental illness/drug use downtownDirect traffic in the building as guests arrive, move between eventsLost & Found Services- coordinate with registration @1m admin when guests have needsCrowd control- safe flow to/from specific/restricted entries with high #s of guestsTheft prevention- move-in/outs, for any area with a point of sale (bookstores/vendor fairs, etc.), monitored equipment storage. Can review cameras when theft suspected.Monitor and maintain cameras to ensure reliable ongoing feedCoordinate quickly with local PD in case of emergenciesEmergency response duties relate to guests, intercom in closet, exiting guests, stairwellsDoor ID security: only authorized/ID guests can enter during eventsNoise reduction BOH/FOH during events where silence should be maintainedTraining for alcohol @ events- restrict access, stop outside alcohol, over-indulgence, respond to and prevent behaviors related to alcohol from occurring. Enforce smoking laws near buildingVIP/Escort Security services availableGuest safety in UVCC/facilities (elevators, balconies, escalators, air walls etc.)Maintain fire code- in event rooms, BOHDocumentation throughout the entire time we're presentPackage storage security- before/during/after eventsWork with exhibitors to follow shipping/receiving and coordinateAbility to work weekends and holidays.Ability to climb stairs, walk and stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs. unaided.Ability to prioritize tasks & work in a fast paced environment.Good verbal communication skills.Ability to follow written instruction.Ability to manage time efficiently.Ability to work well unsupervised.Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift a variety of objects.At OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
