Then we have a position for you.The Budget Analyst will be responsible for developing budgets, monitoring and reporting on the status of Information Technology and other projects for a Federal Government Client. To accomplish this, the Budget Analyst will gather data from financial and contract systems as well as consolidating invoice data. S/He will exercise excellent spreadsheet and presentation skills to assist in the analysis and communication of project financial status. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and analytical capabilities.Additional responsibilities will include:Forecasting expenditures; estimates to complete; estimate at completionConduct variance analysis and explain financial changes to managementKnowledge of information technology related costs preferredApply consulting and interpersonal skills to a wide range of business situationsExperience with building Excel spreadsheets with advanced formulas and functionsInterview clients, define budget requirements, develop cost estimates and research data issuesDesign and prepare reports that covey the financial status of IT projectsFacilitate the procurement process for equipment and services and interact with Supply ManagementManage projects by facilitating meetings, tracking milestones, risk analysis and building presentations.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related fields with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Other fields of specialty might be considered.Strong Microsoft Excel experience and capabilities requiredExperience establishing, monitoring, forecasting and reporting project budgetsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage projects, report their status relative to: schedule, risk, budget, and issuesKnowledge of basic accounting principlesAll candidates must have strong communication and writing skills, ability to solve problems independently, and responsible for meeting deadlines.Ability to build briefings that succinctly convey program status and issuesAbility to work in a fast paced and dynamic environmentThe position requires a professional work attitude, ability to communicate openly with management and coworkers, and to work as a team playerAbility to obtain and maintain a public trust (US citizenship OR green card holder living in the US for at least 5 years)Knowledge and experience in procurement, consulting, and Information Technology preferredKnowledge of the software development lifecycle desirableExperience working for a government agency or contractor is preferredKnowledge of technical domains such as telecommunications, IT hardware, software, and cloudNoblisand our wholly owned subsidiaries,Noblis ESI, andNoblis MSDtackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. The projected compensation range for this positionis provided within the posting andare based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.
