Are you living your life's work? Summary: The Access Optimization Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations and supervision of the Access Optimization Specialist team. The Supervisor is responsible to oversee the development and execution of access operation improvement strategies including but not limited to referral pathways both internal and external, practice workflows, creating capacity, template optimization, Penn symphony, online scheduling, mobile arrival and innovation techniques for all PSP/PPC practices. This will include participating and leading staff in performing multiple complex projects, which significantly impact business outcomes, and requires a large degree of cross-functional participation and coordination. This role requires strategic thinking, and the ability to influence and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including Penn Medicine providers, clinicians, PennChart end users, IS, and Marketing, to achieve program goals, and ensure alignment with health system strategy. Responsibilities: Assist Director in monitoring all access optimization initiatives and compliance guidelines. Assists Practice Managers in the creation of provider scheduling templates, contactless check adherence, Penn symphony engagement, contactless check in and online scheduling. Maintains expertise in template optimization and all scheduling practices across all platforms. Respond to template and scheduling inquiries/questions in a timely, professional, and thorough manner. Assist and support implementation of access best practices/standards across PSP/PPC/Princeton and focus on supporting improvements to business processes that impact patient access. Generate and share monthly access reports to identify low performing practices/individuals that require intervention/refresher training. Align and maximize Penn Medicine existing access and communication programs to support onboarding new practices into PMMG. Supervise day-to-day operations for staff performing ambulatory access improvement initiatives. Responsible for recruitment, orientation, and retention of staff. Provide team training to ensure customer and business outcomes meet expectations. Monitor workflows and provide guidance to staff for resolving concerns in a timely manner to avoid business disruptions or delays in completing assignments/projects. Monitor employee performance, identify skill gaps, provide feedback and coaching as needed. Identify and support career growth opportunities. Complete annual performance evaluations for team. Ensure compliance with company policies and best practices. Education or Equivalent Experience: H.S. Diploma/GED (Required) Education Specialization:Equivalent Experience:•And 5+ years Supervisory experience in a healthcare environment preferred. Electronic patient scheduling, EMR, and practice operations in a healthcare environment. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
