The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of day to day project work and field activities onsite for soil and earthwork construction projects. They will have direct oversight of the Superintendent, Foreman, the crew, and equipment onsite while working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the work performed is completed on time, on budget, and safely.Provide input and share expertise with project team to scheduleproject work and resources into logical steps,meet contractual milestones and completion dates and monitor the budgetDetermine labor and equipment requirements for environmental remediation and earthwork projects and provide input to resource load the project scheduleMonitor safety to ensure RECON remains in compliance with safety codes,regulations and the corporate safety programInterpret plans, specifications, and other contract documents to the RECON project team onsiteManage site operations, work in tandem with and support to the Project Manager with the oversight of crew, equipment, health and safety,and the construction work performed dailyParticipate in the recruitment and the development of site superintendents, foreman,and the RECON crew working onsiteProvide leadership and direction related to managingissues and emergencies, delays due to bad weather, etc. onsiteBachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or the equivalent years of experience in a construction management position running a crew and project work preferredStrong MGP remediation and ISS experience requiredTen or moreyears of experience managing earthwork, soil and/or environmental remediation constructionprojectsKnowledge of heavy construction equipment used in earthwork with the ability to select the optimal pieceof equipment for the specific task and/orjobMust have a proven management skill setand the ability to mentor and develop less experienced Superintendents, Foreman, and crew membersManagement skills are required to facilitate craft competency evaluations; learning,development, and disciplinary proceduresExpertise with project costing and schedule management, and reporting using earned value systems of measurementExcellent oral and written communicationskills are necessary to communicatewith colleagues, subcontractors, vendors, leadership and clientsMust have a proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Project, Teams, and Outlook; experience using Primavera 6 (P6) and/or Groundworks software is a plusMust be able to travel to the project sites to work onsite and mange daily operations with a rotation back home monthlySalary Range: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by lawBenefits:401(k) + matchingHealth, Dental, Vision insuranceLife insurancePaid time off (PTO)Holiday PayRecon is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
