Description Amazon is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive large scale projects, programs, and technical initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for converting data into actionable business insights. The ideal candidate is an analysis expert who leverages a variety of data platforms and analytical tools to provide timely, meaningful, and consumable information. They build deep contextual and domain knowledge, and ensure data quality and build scalable tools. They communicate findings with the most effective and influential methods. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the business operations and long-term planning. This role will be responsible for partnering with multiple stakeholders. A critical part of this role is to define metric requirements, partner with metric development teams, and maintain data hygiene and consistency. This role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders in a high-pressure environment. You will manage a high-visibility program and partner with all levels of leadership to exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. Key job responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders to define metric requirements, partner with metric development teams to build and publish metrics, and audit the metrics to maintain hygiene, consistency, and data quality by proactively addressing any issues identified. Develop new metrics to identify opportunities for improvement, understand drivers of business performance, and influence goal setting across the organization. Acquire and integrate data from various sources to enable holistic, worldwide analysis and uncover actionable insights. Recognize and adopt best practices in data driven analysis, including data integrity, testing, validation, and documentation. Design, develop, and deliver scalable data exploration and analytics solutions to enable seamless insights for internal stakeholders. Prototype applications, dashboards, and services that automate or provide visibility into operational processes to drive efficiency and performance. Our partners raise the bar for the delivery experience, in some of the most complex last mile scenarios Basic Qualifications 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience Bachelor's degree Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights Experience with Excel Experience with SQL Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders Preferred Qualifications MBA 5+ years of experienced developing requirements and creating requirements documents and process flows Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
