We need YOU Where the chemistry happens We are seeking a professional like you to join our team as a Testing and Digitalization Coordinator to work in the Research & Developmental unit of the Performance Materials (PM) operating division as part of our Wyandotte, MI site. You will be part of the Materials & Parts Testing team, PMD/NA, performing various property testing on various samples from R&D and Technical Development units. This position will report to the Head of PU Processing & Testing. As a Testing Coordinator, You Create Chemistry By... Learning new digital skills, such as LIMS development, data automation, and AI. Having project Management skills (i.e., oversee complex network installations and automation projects) and enthusiasm to get others excited about digital topics. Becoming an expert at various testing standard and learn how to run various pieces of testing equipment. Learning the basic structure of various forms of polyurethane products and the testing methods to employ. Building and maintaining relationships with internal business partners and cross-functional departments (internal and external customers). Working with, and as, a team with testing technicians, and support them as needed. Performing independently assigned tasks. Running and maintaining equipment and processes with some modification based on given parameters from internal customers. Reinforceinga culture of behavior-based safety and support emergency response activities, collaborate with other unit coordinators in the areas of safety, scheduling, and utilities. If you... Possess a bachelor's degree in science with a good understanding of mathematics and a background in chemistry and/or engineering would be preferred. Are experienced with LIMS and Lab Request systems (rollout, development, and/or maintenance). Have background in I.T. and automation (preferred). Have knowledge of various polymers and testing requirements in best case with previous experience in thermoset or thermoplastic process Possess programming Knowledge (Python, JavaScript, LIMS Basic) and proficiency with the Power Environment (e.g., PowerBI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
