Job Title: Onsite Medical Scheduling Coordinator Location: Denver, CO - 80218Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMPosition Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hematology Care Coordinator to support complex care coordination activities for hematology and post-stem cell transplant patients. Under the supervision of the Hematology Care Coordination Supervisor, this position ensures patient care is prioritized, scheduled, and managed efficiently. The role involves collaborating with clinical teams, coordinating diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and managing infusion services.Qualifications:Education: College Degree PreferredExperience: Minimum two years of oncology care coordination, scheduling, or healthcare finance experience (outpatient setting preferred)Skills:Knowledge of medical, oncology, and stem cell transplant terminologyProficiency in Word, Excel, and medical software (OncoEMR)Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage complex tasks efficiently.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate all aspects of patient care planning, including provider visits, treatments, and testing.Collaborate with clinical teams (physicians, APPs, nurses) to prioritize and adjust care schedules based on clinical status.Coordinate off-site testing and infusion services, providing necessary orders and authorization details.Schedule procedures such as lumbar punctures and bone marrow biopsies.Participate in complex discharge planning for patients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient care.Build and verify provider templates and meeting schedules in OncoEMR.Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper authorization for procedures.Provide customer service to patients and manage patient scheduling and follow-up.Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient privacy throughout all activities.Why Join Us?This organization is committed to our iCARE behavioral standards: Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
