Also, are proud to be ranked 'One of the Best 5 Private Clubs in Tampa Bay' by the Tampa Bay Times!Come join our team and enjoy a fun, challenging, and motivating work environment with:Play and practice golf privileges,Tennis privileges,Meal discounts,Discounts on golf merchandise,Flexible hours/shifts (closed most Mondays),401k with company matchPart-Time Tennis Maintenance position: Saturday and Sunday 6:30am - 12:30pmSummary:You will be responsible for maintaining nine tennis courts by sweeping, rolling, and lining them in top playing condition; as well as maintaining the surrounding areas of the tennis facility; tennis shop, all seating areas, keep fencing and screens in operating condition; maintain all machinery used to groom and repair courts, along with all other machinery and tools used to keep the facility in top condition.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Maintain court surfaces to include, but not limited to adding Har Tru, magnesium or calcium as needed, watering, rolling, inspecting for algae and weeds, raking and cleaning and periodic maintenance of windscreens and fences, cleaning tennis walkways around tennis courts.Inspect and repair court linesBlow off court lines and cement blocks after sweeping and before wateringRespond to member inquiries and requests, resolve member service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manorProvide and replenish water on the courtsAdjust and repair sprinklers, timers, and drainage linesMaintain netsRemove trash, clean foot sweeps, check ball return, clean water fountainsStack and store furniture for inclement weatherClean tables and chairs, repaint as neededAssist with daily tennis operations as directedCommunicate court conditions to administrative and pro staffTune and fuel all machines and other equipmentReplace parts and perform other minor repair duties to keep machines in operating conditionOrder and maintain supplies: including machine parts, court light bulbs, cups, and any other required itemsDeliver machines to repair shop and pick up when readyAble to play tennis and support various member events throughout the yeaAbility to handle phone responsibilities: confirming member participation in an event, calling to create interest in new/upcoming programs, etc.Other duties assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneCompetencies:Customer service focusAbility to work independently and as a team playerMaintains strict confidentiality of client, company, an personnel informationDemonstrates a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organizationAssessment of court drainageEducation and/or Experience:Associate’s Degree preferred but not requiredComputer SkillsBasic software knowledge in MS Word, Excel, and Reservation SystemPosition Type & Expected Hours of Work:Part-time - Morning Shift 7:00am- 1:00pm OR Afternoon Shift 3:00pm-9:00pm - approximately 20- 25 hours a weekMonday-FridayEnvironmental Factors /Physical Demands:Work is predominantly performed outside on tennis courtsSubject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to eighty (80) poundsFS123
