LHH is partnering with a national law firm to hire a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Billing Specialist to join their dynamic team in downtown, San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal billing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is hybrid after 6 months. Key Responsibilities:Generate and review invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.Track and manage accounts receivable, including sending reminders and making collection calls as necessary.Update and maintain accurate billing records and client files.Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely billing.Respond to client and attorney inquiries regarding billing issues and provide resolution in a professional manner.Produce regular and ad-hoc billing reports for management review.Utilize and stay current with billing software and technology to streamline billing processes. Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience, preferably in a law firm setting.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.Proficiency in legal billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant, or similar), strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hourSearch managed by: Erin Kile Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
