The MLS Legal department is seeking a Paralegal to provide ongoing support for the management and organization of contracts and contract templates, prosecution and maintenance of MLS’s intellectual property portfolio, preparation of legal documents, and to support on invoice and payment processing.Manage process of preparing, distributing and executing a high volume of commercial agreements (e.g., Master Services Agreements, Agency Services Agreements, NDAs, Cause Marketing Agreements, Commercial Co-Venture Agreements, Engagement Letters and other vendor agreements as necessary), amendments, renewals and other related documentationDraft and review terms and conditions for promotions/sweepstakesOversee and manage the day-to-day prosecution and maintenance of MLS’ global trademark and copyright portfolios.Manage a portion of the legal department’s invoices and payment processing.Document production and management, including but not limited to:Coordinating signatures to contracts, filings, and other documentsAssist in the creation, revision and management of contract templates.Build handbooks, processes, guides, checklists and other materials to support MLS’ business teams and create legal support efficiencies.Additional responsibilities as assigned.Bachelor’s DegreeParalegal certificate (or similar credential) 5+ years at a law firm (experience within a corporate legal department strongly preferred)Required SkillsDetail-oriented, self-motivated individual with outstanding organizational and analytical skillsKnowledge of trademark and copyright maintenance and prosecution.Excellent written and verbal communicationAbility to proofread material for grammatical or spelling errorsSound business judgement, and flexibility/adaptability to prioritize, organize, manage and complete time sensitive matters without sacrificing accuracy.Ability to work independently as well as collaborativelySuperior organization, project management skills and attention to detailHigh level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and complianceAbility to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, team environmentProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookFamiliarity with invoicing systems such as Concur; project management systems such as AsanaDesired SkillsKnowledge of contest and sweepstakes, federal and state laws and regulation of promotions and advertising a plusKnowledge of the Spanish and/or French Language (business proficiency)Total RewardsStarting Base Salary $75,000 - 85,000.
