You will also provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers of BRH. We are looking for a team player that can help build a positive environment with a desire to work in an interdisciplinary healthcare team and with a culturally diverse patient population. Responsibilities include:Working in a fast-paced medical office settingAssisting providers with delivering quality patient careObtaining and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.)Performing basic medical procedures such as blood draws and EKGsCollecting and preparing laboratory specimensRecording patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systemsAnswering phones, responding to inquiries, and relaying information to providersAdhering to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentialityAssisting with scheduling appointmentsAssisting patients with check-in and check-out during appointments whilemaking sure all patient data is up to date and remains confidentialMaintains a professional appearance and exhibits professionalism in all interactionsKnowledge of medical terminology and common medical documentation preferredHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredMedical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant preferred- Must obtain certification within 18 months of hire date if not currently certified (We can help you get it - ask us how!)Licensed Practical Nurses - NC licensure preferred (we will pay for your license renewal!)Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, providers, peers, supervisor or other collaborative community agenciesMedical phone triage experience preferredAbility to float between nearby clinical sites as neededBi-Lingual preferred, but not required - we pay extra per hour for your language skillsAt Blue Ridge Health our mission is to improve Health, inspire Hope, and advance Healing through access to Compassionate, Affordable, and Quality Care.
