Job Description: Brown University Athletics and Recreation is currently seeking candidates for the Wrestling Operations Coordinator position. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1). Reporting to the Head Coach, Wrestling, this role is responsible for the organization of the day- to-day efficient operation of the Brown Wresting program. The Wrestling Operations coordinator will assists the Head Coach and Assistant coach in all phases of planning, developing, and promoting a championship caliber Ivy League program. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee non-competition operations of the wrestling program. Coordinate schedule throughout the year and communicate to team and key stakeholders. Serve as liaison with the division's athletic communication office, academic services, marketing, compliance, business office, sports medicine, equipment, strength and conditioning, facilities, and other administrative areas as assigned. Serve as primary liaison with alumni and parents' group. Coordinate arrangements for pre-season training, scheduling, practices, and home meets. Organize and set up all travel plans for the season, hotels, buses, flights, meals, etc. Coordinate itineraries for home and away competitions. Organize recruitment communication and social media marketing for program. Assist with the submission and responsible for the ongoing tracking of wrestling program expenses to operate within provided budget. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree required. 1-2 years related experience in NCAA wrestling (collegiate playing, coaching or operations); Division I experience preferred. Ability to independently coordinate multiple tasks at one time. Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment. Strong analytical and presentation skills combined with the ability to successfully interact with diverse individuals from both University and community related constituencies for maximizing University & Divisional goals, objectives, relationships & representation. Basic proficiency in excel, word, internet & email capabilities. Social media experience. Experience planning and organizing team travel Established history of quality relationships with staff, coaches, student-athletes, alumni, parents, etc. Prior experience with video editing software. Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to comply with, NCAA, Ivy League and University rules and regulations. All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the compliance office and appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions must receive annual rules education on NCAA legislation related to recruiting by the compliance office and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division). Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test, maintain current AED/CPR & First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division), and attend all required divisional and/or NCAA training/education programs.
