Vice President (Asia FX Trading) for BNP Paribas Securities Corp. in New York, NY, As a Vice President (Asia FX Trading) you will function as a Global Macro Asia EM Trader to support the franchise in the Asia EM FX market with daily market making, analysis of client flows, market intelligence, and analysis of macroeconomic scenarios. Partner with eFX to help digitally transform the Asia FX platform. Analyze daily risk, reconcile profit and loss (P&L), and create end-of-day (EOD) reports. Contribute to the development and upgrade of BNP Paribas's (BNPP) risk management systems and pricing tools. Work with the middle office and back office teams to resolve discrepancies and make improvements to existing processes. Buy and sell a defined range of Asia EM products and within defined limits, and originate trading positions on behalf of BNPP. Monitor news and events, and evaluate the risk and opportunities for clients and the Bank's positions and strategy. Work collaboratively with Global Sales, Trading Desks, Quantitative teams, and Research. Contribute to the transformation of BNPP's digital footprint through sophisticated data mining and analysis. Prepare a P&L explanation each day and escalate any unexplained elements to the desk head for approval. Directly contribute to the Bank's operational permanent control framework. Analyze and value business and transaction related risks, including market, credit, operational, compliance, legal, and regulatory and reputation risks. Function within the markets to continuously develop insight and expertise into the market and products, including interested in financial markets. Analyze market dynamics, including short and long-term flows, themes, regulations, applications, players, consensus trades, risk appetite, liquidity, models and technology that drive the market, and to form a personal view on market conditions and trends. Trade transactions within an assigned perimeter in an accurate and diligent manner, properly assessing market liquidity, hedging cost, risk management slippage, funding, and balance sheet usage. Leverage information to promote trade ideas. Analyze opportunities and likely risk-return, identifies mitigation strategies and trade-offs. Identify and transform client and market opportunities into revenues. Identify, analyze, and assess the risk of his books. Challenge business opportunities based on risk-return analysis and focus on trades with the right profitability, and risk/reward balance. Comply with local laws and FX Code of Conduct. Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field plus three (3) years of experience as a Vice President (Asia FX Trading) or similar occupation within global macro trading or structuring trading Foreign Exchange (FX) derivatives, FX options, or Interest Rate derivatives within an international bank or international financial services institution or, alternatively, a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field and one (1) year of experience as a Vice President (Asia FX Trading) or similar occupation within global macro trading or structuring trading Foreign Exchange (FX) derivatives, FX options, or Interest Rate derivatives within an international bank or international financial services institution. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated expertise (DE) performing financial derivative valuation, modelling, and pricing, including knowledge of the non-arbitrage forward pricing and covered interest rate parity; (DE) in international economics, including balance of payments, exchange rate determination, and international policy coordination; (DE) working with pricing FX and Interest rate products, including FX Spot, FX Swap, Non-deliverable Forward, and Cross-Currency Swap; and (DE) analyzing economic data to determine impacts to the financial market.
