The Diesel Generator Technician at ASG is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diesel-powered generators. This includes regular inspections, diagnosis, repair of mechanical and electrical systems, and performing preventive maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operation. The technician will also handle emergency repairs and perform safety checks to ensure equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications. Perform regular preventive maintenance, including oil changes, fuel filter replacements, and coolant flushes. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system malfunctions. Repair or replace faulty parts such as alternators, starters, wiring, and other generator components. Install and test diesel generators and auxiliary systems as required. Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and wiring schematics to guide repair and maintenance. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used. Respond to emergency repair requests in a timely manner. Collaborate with other technicians and management to ensure the efficient operation of all equipment. Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classificationWhat you'll need: General High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics is preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for off-site repairs). Technical2+ years of experience as a diesel generator technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and mechanical repair techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Experience with using diagnostic tools and equipment. Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Desired SkillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays when requiredAble to work in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated and able to work independently
