Position Title Coordinator of Media Relations and Creative Design Job Responsibilities This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Communications and will assist with all phases of the athletics sports information and home athletics event management. Responsibilities: Managing media relations/sports information for assigned sports Writing press releases, doing statistics for home events, public address announcing Disseminating accurate information in a timely manner, including but not limited to, news releases, event results, statistics and social media posts for assigned sports Maintaining and updating the department websiteAssisting with managing athletics department social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube, etc.) Schedule student workers for home events, ability to travel with teams when needed Coordinating video production of home athletic events that are streamed on the internet Preparing and submitting academics and athletics awards nominations Providing content and statistics for Truman Alumni magazine Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Required qualifications include: A bachelors degree; demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; computer proficiencies, and previous involvement with intercollegiate athletics as student-athlete, student worker, or graduate assistant. Able to work evenings and weekends for home games. Preferred Qualifications Preferred qualifications include: experience with Sidearm Sports content management system, knowledge of and experience working withNCAAin-game scoring rules and software, graphic design creativity, and knowledge and proficiency in sports video productions.
