Your days will be filled with excitement as you: Use your keen eye and diagnostic prowess to determine equipment condition through inspections and tests, identifying any worn or damaged parts. Keep our equipment ready for action by completing preventive maintenance schedules, installing upgrades, and controlling corrosion with finesse. Tackle deficiencies head-on by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, and replacing major assemblies, components, and systems, from power and drive trains to electrical and air conditioning. Verify performance by conducting tests and adjustments, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Maintain meticulous vehicle records, annotating services and repairs with the precision of a seasoned mechanic. Keep our shop humming by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining supplies with efficiency and grace. Stay ahead of the game by keeping supplies ready, inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt with a proactive spirit. To thrive in this role, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent, with mechanic/diesel schooling preferred to fuel your knowledge. A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience, showcasing your mastery of the mechanical arts. A valid drivers license, with a CDL preferred to navigate the road ahead. A natural troubleshooting ability, allowing you to tackle any challenge that comes your way. Mechanical and/or electric aptitude, coupled with the proficiency to diagnose and repair with precision. The ability to read and comprehend service and technical information, ensuring you're always one step ahead. You'll stand out from the crowd if you're: Detail-oriented, professional, and self-directed, always ready to tackle new challenges with gusto.
