Job Title: Line CookReports To : Shift Leader/Manager On DutyJob Summary:Line cook is primarily responsible for ensuring highest quality and careful preparation meals served to our guests. This includes food preparation for in-house dining, to-go orders, catering orders, and third party pick-up orders. You will follow check lists and help complete prep production sheets, including station set-up are part of expected daily tasks. Team-work is critical in the success and development of our team.Core Requirements:Follow and adhere to opening and closing procedures per checklists.Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and proceduresKnife skills are expected for slicing, chopping, peeling, preparation of productPrepare meals according to recipes, quality and preparation standardsPre-scaling and portioning ingredients as defined in prep-production listContinuously Monitor food quantity and qualityClean as you go and maintain properly sanitized work stationsBecome knowledgeable of all menu items and features including preparation methods, plating presentation standardsAssist in same day or advance prep for any and all stations in the kitchen.Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment and conditions (lights, heating/cooling, appliances, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings and maintenance. Report deficiencies.Following opening, closing check lists, including proper cleaning and sanitation equipmentRespond in a positive attitude and immediately respond server/management inquiresPhysical Demands/Desired SkillsFrequent bending lifting items up to 50 pounds. Must be able continuously stand on feet for consecutive hours during work shift. Good interpersonal skills, Positive attitude and works well in a team-environment. Minimum Salary: 15.50 Maximum Salary: 20.00 Salary Unit: Hourly
