Order#: NY1507048 Photography & Digital Arts Program Coordinator Position Summary: Program Coordinator maintains programs in Photography & Digital Arts with an eye on curriculum, outcomes, impact, and expansion. FCAC currently runs a 24-session afterschool photography program called Studio 678 which is entering its 27th year. In the fall of 2024, we are beginning our pilot year for High School Photo Club (working title) which allows us to keep graduates of the 678 program engaged and growing. We are working to add: Media Team program to further engage HS students and help them gain more skills in photography and video with an emphasis on practical work experience, career development, and college readiness. Programming to engage seniors, veterans, and other underserved populations Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain Studio 678 program and High School Photo Club Recruit, interview, select, train, and manage instructors, teacher advisors, and program volunteers Manage program assistants and delegate tasks Communicate and correspond with parents and families as needed Arrange transportation, exhibition space, food, and book production Coordinate the overall schedule of programs and build curriculum Track spending and budgets Write and produce the annual newsletter Track data, contribute to, and support final reporting Develop new programming for K-12 and adults Develop, implement, and track budgets, curriculum, and outcomes Recruit, interview, select, train, and manage program staff and volunteers Daily office tasks as needed Answer phone/emails Class Registration Database entry Schedule and assist facility users Process memberships and gift certificate purchases Customer service and facility tours Set up classrooms and assist teachers Troubleshoot student or teacher issues Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing non-profit programs Supervisory experience Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office and Google Suite Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience effectively engaging and working with youth and other students Ability to work collaboratively, establish strong, connected relationships, as a part of a creative community, and effectively communicate with youth and adult students, leadership, community partners, teaching artists, and team members Creative and critical thinking, walks with integrity, cares about quality, and loves this work Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree or above in Education, Human Services, or related field Knowledge and interest in the fields of photography and visual arts Proven ability in building programs for youth and or adults based in visual arts or related; coordination of youth programs with positive outcomes Adobe Creative Suite Entrepreneurial spirit, active, determined
