Burtis Consulting Group is actively seeking an experienced, driven, and technically adept community engagement specialist to serve as Deputy Outreach Manager THIS IS A FULL TIME IN OFFICE POSITION - Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx locations may be office locationPlease indicate where you can work in office. There is NO remote option for this roleThe responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 1. Support the Outreach Program Manager in the development and execution of community engagement and outreach strategies on multiple concurrent design-build projects. 2. Oversee all day-to-day engagement and outreach tasks for projects in Manhattan and Queens. 3. Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams including architects, landscape architects, engineers, construction managers and contractors to anticipate upcoming coordination & communication needs, identify potential obstacles and challenges, and proactively address community impacts and concerns. 4. Plan, coordinate, and execute public engagement events including large public workshops, stakeholder meetings, briefings with elected officials, Community Board meetings, and other events as needed. 5. Work efficiently in a high-pressure environment and prioritize competing tasks to ensure smooth workflows and meet project deadlines. 6. Lead QAQC of external communications and client deliverables to ensure technical quality and best practices in the execution of work. 7. Schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings, prepare and issue agendas and meeting minutes, and follow up on critical action items. 8. Develop high-quality, clear, and informative presentations, graphics, fact sheets, reports, and documents for internal and external communications. 9. Write and present formal and technical reports, working papers, and correspondences. 10. Write, design, and format public communications, including emails, letters, reports, and documents. 11. Oversee Community Construction Liaison (CCLs) activities, including: a. Visit project construction sites and surrounding neighborhoods in Manhattan and Queens on a regular basis. b. Coordinate with CCLs to correspond with community members and other stakeholders both over email and in-person. c. Coordinate with CCLs to conduct day-to-day outreach to residents, business owners, and stakeholders. d. Ensure timely and accurate data entry & reporting. e. Oversee publication of community advisories, construction bulletins, environmental reports, and other public-facing communications 12. Assist with updates and maintenance of internal project SharePoint site and external project website. Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
