About the Role: Positions: Assistant Teacher - Clubhouse Location: Rutland, Vermont Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities: Assist in creating, implementing, and managing lesson plans, including taking over in the Lead Teacher's absence. Maintain a safe, engaging, and orderly environment while adhering to Vermont State Licensing Regulations. Ensure effective communication with families and co-workers, and assist with updating parent boards and assessments. Create a supportive atmosphere using positive discipline and represent the program positively in the community. Complete required training, maintain certifications, and ensure the safe pick-up of children. Qualifications: Thorough understanding of child development, including differing abilities, with required qualifications (VT Early Childhood Career Ladder Level I or II, or equivalent). Ability to lift and carry a 30-pound child and change positions freely. Strong professional communication with staff, clients, and the public. Ability to maintain a safe, organized classroom environment that fosters learning and socialization.
