This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Killington, Vermont's largest hospitality management companythe Karr Groupis seeking talented Line Cooks with experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant to join our culinary team We are seeking experienced culinarians - including Line, Grill, and Saut Cooks. As a Line Cook, you are the backbone of the kitchen. You are responsible for specific stations or areas of preparation and it is up to you to ensure that dishes are ready to go and that the chefs instructions are followed. You should have an excellent understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. You have high-level multitasking abilities and are able to work with speed and precision. The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meats, poultry, seafood and vegetables using a flat top, grill, or fryer. You should have basic butchery skills and be familiar with various cuts of meat and their correct cooking temperature. As the grill cook, you are the anchor of the kitchen and are responsible for the coordination of the kitchen line during service and control the quality, flow, and timing of food. The Saut Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meats, poultry, vegetables, and a high volume of seafood, as well as house-made sauces. You should be experienced with la minute cooking and be knowledgeable about various cuts of meat and their correct cooking temperature. As the saut cook, you are an important part of the culinary team and drive the expediting process. This position works closely with the grill cook and the rest of the culinary team to coordinate the kitchen line during service and control the quality, flow, and timing of food. Our ideal candidate is passionate about food, has accuracy in presentation, and enjoys the artistic element of plating meals.
