Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Prep/Line Cook to join our team at The Tap at Humboldt Depot. The Prep/Line Cook will be responsible for preparing ingredients, setting up workstations, and cooking menu items as per the restaurant's quality standards. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently. Key Responsibilities: Preparation: Prepare ingredients for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, prepping meats) according to recipes and portion standards. Assist in setting up and stocking workstations with all necessary supplies. Cooking: Cook and prepare menu items in collaboration with the kitchen team, following recipes and maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner, according to customer orders. Food Safety & Cleanliness: Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items. Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment as needed. Coordination: Work closely with the head chef, kitchen staff, and service team to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Qualifications: Previous experience as a prep cook or line cook preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during busy shifts. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude. Working Conditions: Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 50 pounds. Compensation: Starting pay is $14 per hour. Full time and Part Time
