The Diesel Mechanic position is a critical role in our company. As a Mechanic with SCA, you will be responsible for repairing vehicles and maintaining our fleet of sweeper trucks. We have established safety policies and standard operating procedures as well as extensive driver and onboard training programs.The safety of our employees is of critical importance to us.Job Responsibilities:Consulting and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required.Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issuesRunning diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable specting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhaustsRepairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated partsConducting field visits/roadside repairs in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdownTest driving repaired vehicles to gauge their pleting oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks around PM StructureMaintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehiclesThis is not an all-inclusive list of job requirements and/or duties and may not contain all mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the job at all times due to circumstances.
